Laura Hicks

My name is Laura Hicks.  This will be my 25th year in education.  I love math and science and seeing students' faces light up when they make connections with their everyday lives.

 

I grew up in Deer Park and attended DPE, DPJH, and DPHS. I have one brother, two sisters, and two sisters-in-law, plus their families (11 nieces and nephews). They all grew up and still live in Deer Park. Fun fact: My sister (Amanda Nunn) is our DPE School Nurse. I'm involved in city politics and am a member of a few committees. I love this town and DPE!

 

My husband and I graduated together from Deer Park High School.  We have 2 adult daughters.  My family loves camping, hiking, kayaking, and floating the river. 

 

I am looking forward to a new year full of adventures; this year is going to be AMAZING!!!!!
