Hello! I am a Reading Recovery Teacher and Reading Interventionist for grades K-3. I've been teaching reading for many years in one-on-one and small group settings at Deer Park Elementary and consider our campus an EXCELLENT place for ALL students to learn. I earned a M.Ed. degree in Curriculum and Instruction and hold certifications as a Reading Specialist, Master Reading Teacher, Classroom Teacher, and ESL teacher. I LOVE seeing students gain confidence in themselves as readers and writers as they become more proficient. When I'm not teaching students I love spending time with my family! I've been married to my amazing husband for over 20 years. We've been blessed to raise two incredible sons who are now off at college! I also love to read and am crazy for cats. 5 of them to be exact!
