Robotics Teams

Our Robotics Team consists of 4th and 5th Grade students that build their own EV3 robots and program them to compete in First Lego League (FLL) competitions. The majority of our Robotics season is spent preparing for this competition. We compete with other teams at an area qualifier and move on to compete in larger competitions. Our Robotics season begins in October and ends by March.
 
FLL consists of 4 main components that are judged at our competitions and qualifiers.

After we compete in FLL competitions in January/February our Robotics season comes to a close with a district Battle Bots competition in March at our DPISD STEM Showcase.

If you are interested in joining our Robotics team, look out for application and tryout instructions towards the beginning of your 4th or 5th grade school year. Usually the applications go out at the end of September and we begin practices sometime in October.
